About this course
Year 2 · CWW curriculum · Course ID CWW-12
Through a blend of theory, guided practice, and reflective inquiry, students will explore the energetic roots of emotional imbalances, trauma, and stress, while cultivating intuitive healing skills. The course is grounded in the teachings of Mikao Usui and the lineage of Reiki Masters, enriched by insights from Carl Jung’s depth psychology and supported by modern techniques such as guided imagery, affirmations, and mindfulness.
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to energy healing, Psychological Reiki offers a rich, integrative path to emotional wellness and spiritual clarity.
In this course you will explore Mizu as a reflective Reiki practice while recognizing the limits of emotional support.

Before you begin
Complete the entry orientation and supervisor agreement, and study the units in order. Your Year 1 demonstration must be approved before you begin Year 2. If you have equivalent prior learning, your Shihan will document the decision. Completing this course does not establish external professional registration; external credentials and legal authority are verified separately.
What you’ll learn
1. Symbol and meaning
This unit combines Se He Ki, Jungian ideas and reflective practice. Study the meanings as taught traditions or interpretive frameworks. Neither a symbol nor an archetype diagnoses a mental health condition. Water-memory and emotional-healing claims need critical review and should not be repeated as established science.
- Recognize Emotional Imbalances: Identify signs of emotional distress such as anxiety, depression, and mood swings. Explore root causes using Jungian archetypes and Reiki lineage reflections.
- Use the Se He Ki Symbol: Learn the history, drawing, and energetic application of Se He Ki. Practice symbol invocation during treatments and meditations.
Practice activity: Choose one symbolic description and rewrite it so its status is clear.
2. Responding to emotion
If a person expresses distress, listen and ask what support they want. Do not search for hidden energetic causes or invite emotional release as a required outcome. Use a simple, optional comfort activity only within the Shihan’s approved scope. Seek supervision and appropriate professional support when concerns exceed that scope.
- Manage Stress and Anxiety: Apply mindfulness and breathing techniques alongside Reiki hand positions. Use Se He Ki symbol to calm the nervous system.
- Heal Emotional Trauma: Understand trauma through Jung’s shadow work and Reiki attunement. Practice emotional release using guided imagery and Se He Ki.
- Apply Guided Imagery & Affirmations: Use visualization and positive language to support emotional healing. Explore the power of thought and water memory (Dr. Masaru Emoto).
- Practice Ethical & Compassionate Healing: Embrace Carl Rogers’ principles: empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. Maintain client confidentiality and non-judgmental presence.
Practice activity: Role-play responding to a person who declines imagery and wants practical information instead.
3. A reflective routine
Build a voluntary self-reflection routine using a Shihan-approved practice and a short journal. Record what happened and what you noticed without interpreting ordinary variation as illness or healing. Review whether the routine is useful and manageable, and change or stop it if it is not.
- Build Mental Resilience: Strengthen inner resources through affirmations and daily Reiki self-treatments. Develop intuitive listening using Reiji Ho and Byosen scanning.
- Integrate Reiki into Daily Life: Create personalized routines using Gassho meditation and Kenyoku Ho. Track emotional shifts through journaling and weekly self-treatment logs.
Practice activity: Create a reflection log with columns for activity, observation, preference and next step.
