Our community work is powered by our members who are committed to growing wellness in the communities we share.
We believe that, through the Community Wellness Programs powered by our members, we will produce statistically evident improvements in social metrics in our regions of practice within a decade.

As systemic change initiators we are creating a new approach to making community service happen in this time of such need.
It is an approach that acknowledges that many of us have been marginalized by the dominant culture, and volunteering may be beyond our reach.

In the Tau Wellness Cooperative, members invest their time at five different levels from one hour per month to one hour per week.

We call these Co-op hours, and we say it is like stacking the shelves in a co-op grocery store.
Through their commitment, the co-op delivers our Community Wellness programs, the 3 Mothers Medicine Camps.

In return for their investment, members receive:

• Services at lower cost
• Training in Community Wellness
• Access to short-term, living wage contracts
  (paid at $40/hr. in 2025)
