About this course
Year 1 · CWW curriculum · Course ID CWW-04
Distance Reiki – Sora is a transformative journey into the art of remote energy healing, rooted in Japanese Reiki traditions and expanded through modern science and spiritual wisdom. This course empowers students to channel healing energy across space using breath, intention, and sacred ritual. Drawing from Shinto philosophy, quantum entanglement, and the teachings of Mikao Usui, students will explore how consciousness and energy interact beyond physical boundaries.
Inspired by Robert Lanza’s Biocentrism, which posits that life and consciousness are central to the universe, this course challenges students to reframe healing as a multidimensional experience. Through the lens of Tau Traditional Reiki, students will learn to integrate ancestral wisdom, ethical practice, and modern neurophysiology into their healing sessions.
Each lesson combines video demonstrations, reflective journaling, guided breathwork, and symbol activation. Students will also engage with the Tau Student Manual, which outlines the lineage, ethics, and structure of Reiki training, including the importance of Chōsa (study), Renshū (practice), Reiju (attunement), and Hōkō (community service).
In this course you will study Sora distance Reiki while practicing clear consent, remote boundaries and careful claims.

Before you begin
Complete the entry orientation and supervisor agreement, and study the units in order. Your Year 1 demonstration must be approved before you advance to Year 2. If you have equivalent prior learning, your Shihan will document the decision. Completing this course does not establish external professional registration; external credentials and legal authority are verified separately.
What you’ll learn
1. Meaning within the tradition
Sora introduces distance intention, symbols and ritual. Describe these using the language of the tradition, with attribution. Ideas such as quantum entanglement and biocentrism, which appear in this course, are not proof that Reiki transfers healing over distance. A learner can respectfully explore symbolic practice without claiming a scientifically established mechanism.
- Define Reiki and Universal Energy Principles: Understand Reiki as life force energy. Example: Trace lineage from Mikao Usui to modern practice.
- Use Sacred Symbols and Rituals in Remote Healing: Activate Cho Ku Rei and Se He Ki with intention. Example: Draw symbols during remote sessions.
- Explore Cultural and Ethical Foundations: Examine Shinto rituals and ethics. Example: Purification rites and Reiju attunements.
Practice activity: Mark the traditional, personal and scientific claims in a short passage from the course material and rewrite one overstatement.
2. A remote agreement
Agree the purpose, time, communication channel and whether the participant will be online. Explain that this is optional complementary practice and not emergency care. Do not assume permission because a friend requested help for someone else. Keep names and health details out of shared course discussions.
- Understand Distance Healing and Energetic Connection: Learn how intention bridges space. Example: Use Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbol for remote healing.
- Apply Breathwork and Trance Techniques: Practice Joshin Kokyu-ho for energetic alignment. Example: Guided breath sessions for focus and clarity.
- Maintain Ethical and Culturally Sensitive Practice: Ensure informed consent and respect. Example: Adapt language for diverse clients.
Practice activity: Write a remote invitation with explicit acceptance, cancellation and privacy arrangements.
3. Documenting a remote practice
Observe the Shihan’s approved Sora demonstration and discuss symbols in the cultural context taught. Use a consenting peer or a simulation. Record what you did and what feedback was actually received. No response means no response; it does not establish an energetic change. Close with a practical check-in agreed in advance.
- Design Protocols for Stress, Pain, and Emotional Support: Combine breathwork and symbols for healing. Example: Use Se He Ki for anxiety relief.
- Create a Personal Reiki Routine: Integrate symbols, breath, and ethics. Example: Daily journaling and practice.
Practice activity: Create a session record that distinguishes activity, reported experience and unanswered questions.
