One of the ‘big picture’ goals of the Tau is to help, grow, and nourish, cohorts of world-class healers. Tau work from the premise that all healing is self-healing whether assisted by a cardiologist doing a triple by-pass or the Hypnotherapist helping your body prepare for the experience of surgery. Tau would say that not all healing is curative and a healing process is needed for all stages of life, even in hospice (end of life) caregiving. Tau practices focus on the palliative aspects of caregiving, that is supporting the person rather than focusing on the symptoms. Still, a percentage of all disease resolves through ‘spontaneous remission‘ so the power of self-healing does result in ‘cures’ in some cases.

The process of engaging and interacting with people seeking avenues to explore their potential for healing ethically is at the center of all healing teaching whether Johns Hopkins or 3 Mothers Medicine Camps. Tau, as teachers and trainers in the traditional healing arts follow Elder Albert Marshall’s teaching of Etuaptmumk, the Gift of Multiple Perspectives.

At its core, the Tau Mystery School is a School of Druidry, in the same way it is a School of Indigenous Wellness, and a School of Reiki. Tau is a new synthesis of Reiki, Druidry, and Indigenous healing, in a relationship of mutual respect, rising out of the setting horizon of a binary world. At this time in the world, an overall accessible framework of ethics that includes the traditions of indigenous peoples, or a comprehensive framework for the multiple Reiki schools does not exist.

However, what does exist is the collection euroindigenous knowledge known as Druidry. So, we begin our framework of ethics grounded in the well developed program created by the Order of  Bards, Ovates, and Druids supplemented through weekly circles that mirror the comparable parts of Indigenous wellness and Reiki.

The first level, which is called the Bardic Grade (equal to Knowledge Keepers) is a requisite of the Way of the Wand and strongly recommended to be included in any of the other Educator series, Trauma Healing, Camp and Street Smarts, Reiki, Hypnosis, Arts, or Wellness. To find out more about what is involved, best to self explore the OBOD website yourself, there is no point in copying it here. We simply provide access at the best possible cost along integration of the learning through direct dialogue and supportive tutoring.
