3 Mothers Medicine Trauma Healing - First Term
Our Trauma-Healing Educator series bgins with three separate courses.
Psychological First Aid
Post Traumatic Stress Management
Trauma-Focused Residential Youth Caregiving
You will find more info on each in the links above.
Our goal is to provide training in practical skills that will help our students advance in the careers they choose. While Critical Incident Trauma Response and Management is an important community skill, in itself is not as employment specific as training for residential care settings. But it does include the important training how to approach a person who is in an activated stress state, as is often the case when dealing with youth who have experienced Complex Traumas.
After this initial introduction, packed full of skills employers are looking for, the four year, part time Trauma-Healing Educator series continues with in depth study and work in these areas.
